Caroline’s background is in writing and production. With over forty theatrical features to her credit as script supervisor, she has had the privilege of working alongside some of the industry’s most diverse and celebrated directors including Warren Beatty, James Ivory, Peter Yates, Jon Avnet, Kevin Reynolds, Jerry Zucker, Ken Branagh and Paul Anderson. Sax studied screen writing and directing at UCLA and was Los Angeles based for five years.

Her directing debut, The Fishmonger’s Daughter, was selected by The Sundance Film Festival and went on to win awards world-wide. She is currently in pre- production to direct her screenplay PAST IMPERFECT and is out to casting and finance on OCEANS APART. Caroline is a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).


Consultant / Producer

Mark Vennis is a producer and sales agent and has been joint managing director of Moviehouse Entertainment since 2001.

He has worked with a variety of filmmakers including Nicolas Winding Refn, John Boorman and Lenny Abramson and has executive produced over twenty films, including NATIVITY 2, SWERVE, FEAR X and SCOTT WALKER: 30 CENTURY MAN. Moviehouse Entertainment are based in Hampshire.

Mark has most recently produced the rock doc Here to Be Heard: The Story of the Slits and the feature film Funny Cow, which stars Maxine Peake, Paddy Considine, Stephen Graham, Tony Pitts and Alun Armstrong. Funny Cow will be distributed by EOne in the UK in late 2017 and has been selected for the BFI London Film Festival.

Prior to Moviehouse, Mark was a Director at film financiers’ Mansfield Associates and has a Master of Arts in Film Studies. He is co-producing PAST IMPERFECT and OCEANS APART both of which Caroline Sax is directing. Mark is a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).



Claire has recently started Involve Film Marketing – a consultancy set up to help filmmakers find the right audience for their film. Prior to this she worked as Director of Marketing and Publicity at film sales company Moviehouse Entertainment, as Head of Marketing at J&M Entertainment, at the Edinburgh and Los Angeles film festivals and Film Independent in LA.


Claire has been involved in marketing and film festival campaigns for feature films for over 15 years. Campaigns include Julien Temple’s latest documentary The Ecstasy of Wilko Johnson, Peter Fudakowski’s Secret Sharer, Jesse V. Johnson’s American thriller The Beautiful Ones, as well as Nicolas Winding Refn’s Sundance thriller Fear X, Lenny Abrahamson’s comedy/drama Adam & Paul, UK music indie 1234, documentaries from Nick Broomfield and Britpop music doc Live Forever.
